Headwaters Foundation Receives 2011 Responsive Philanthropy Award
Believe it or not, there are people in this world trying to make a difference, and we, at Headwaters Foundation, like to believe that we are those people! For 27 years now, Headwaters has been hard at work. Since the humble beginnings of a group of young donors who envisioned a different approach to philanthropy, to now, as we implement that idea and continue to give the power of choice to the community, we fight social injustice.
We are proud, and humbled, to announce that Headwaters Foundation for Justice has been awarded the 2011 Responsive Philanthropy Award through the Minnesota Nonprofit Excellence and Mission Awards.
Along with five other local Minnesota Nonprofits, Headwaters was recognized at an awards ceremony sponsored by the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) and MAP for Nonprofits on October 7th during the MCN’s 25th annual state conference.
