OutFront MN Community Services 2010 OutFront MN works to increase organizing and advocacy for GLBT equity statewide. The laws in Minnesota prohibit same-sex couples from obtaining civil marriage and the over 500 legal protections afforded through marriage. OutFront is working to pass marriage equality legislation within the next three years by organizing an active statewide movement of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality supporters.
OutFront MN Community Services 2011 OutFront's work is driven by a vision of a Minnesota that values all people. Despite progress in the last four decades, same-sex couples have no legal protections for their families and many schools do not have policies that address bullying against LGBT students. Far right organizations and legislators are working to pass a constitutional ban on marriage and all legal protections for same-sex couples and the legislation to improve anti-bullying efforts in our schools faces opposition. OutFront will use these two issues to organize and energize LGBT equality supporters to work for a more fair and just Minnesota.
OutFront MN Community Services 2012 OutFront MN is working to defeat the constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage in our state while seeking to eliminate discrimination by addressing homophobia and advancing values of inclusion and equality.
Organizing Apprenticeship Project (OAP) 2010 Organizing Apprenticeship Project's (OAP) education equity organizing collaborative includes partners in the American Indian, Somali, Latino and African-American communities. OAP brings groups together to develop tools and strategies to increase the impact of education equity organizing. The collaborative creates space to combine efforts, and create strategies and a united front for addressing systemic racism in schools. This grant supports OAP's convening role, expansion of collaborative partners, and continued work in Minneapolis to develop a collaborative racial justice schools strategy.
Organizing Apprenticeship Project (OAP) 2011 The Organizing Apprenticeship Project (OAP) is creating a proactive agenda to achieve racial equity in MN and includes the following intersecting core strategies: 1) Training to develop and strengthen individual and organizing group leadership capacity to work for racial equity. 2) Convenings to build relational power and connections between racial justice communities and organizing leaders in the state. 3) Research, framing, agenda, and message building that expands the impact of individual issue and organizing campaigns. 4) Supporting multi-racial and multi-cultural organizing to address racial equity.

Occupy Homes, MN 2012 Occupy Homes (OH) is a grassroots organization that identifies foreclosures as a symptom of a corrupt system that allowed predatory lending to occur while denying reasonable loan modifications.
Neighborhoods Organizing for Change, MN 2011 Neighborhoods Organizing for Change (NOC) builds power in low- and moderate-income communities across the Twin Cities. Their multi-issue and multi-strategy community organizing efforts include "Communities for Excellent Public Schools" campaign, based on a firm belief that community power can improve our public schools, and overcome Minnesota's worst-in-the-nation achievement gap.
Neighborhoods Organizing for Change, MN 2012 Neighborhoods Organizing for Change, MN (NOC) builds power in low and moderate income communities across the Twin Cities to fight for racial and economic justice.
Native Youth Alliance 2013 The Native Youth Alliance received a grant of $5000 for creation of a youth council.
Native Vote Alliance of MN 2011 Native Vote Alliance of Minnesota (NVAM) is the only statewide American Indian led nonpartisan nonprofit organization whose civic work creates positive influence and gains while entrenching civic culture into the tribal communities through citizen-driven methods. NVAM is working to mobilize and empower Native people in Minnesota as a collective voice through civic participation while embracing culture.
Native American Community Development Institute 2010 Native American Community Development Corporation (NACDI) is an American Indian community development organization created by and for American Indians. NACDI works to: develop and maintain effective human and social relationships; develop economic assets and vitality; and develop sustainable physical assets. NACDI is working to develop alignment and capacity-based strategies for social and economic change. As part of this work, NACDI will identify and train emerging leaders, community organizers, and residents to define the Indian 21st century.

MN Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice 2012 The MN Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (MRCRC), grounded in many religious faiths, works for reproductive health, freedom and justice through education, pastoral care and advocacy.

MN Coalition for the Homeless 2012 The MN Coalition for the Homeless (MCH) works to build a statewide movement to end homelessness.

Mental Health Consumer/Survivor Network of MN 2010 Mental Health Consumer/Survivor Network (MHCSN) is a membership-based organization of consumers/survivors of mental health services. While Minnesota is considered progressive in regard to mental health care, public health policy is still tempered by the underlying assumption that individuals with mental health issues are incapable of managing their lives and need others to determine treatment options. CSN works to ensure that the health care system is fair, equitable, and just for people diagnosed with mental health issues in Minnesota.
Main Street Project 2010 The Main Street Project is a grassroots cultural organizing, media justice and economic development initiative working to help rural and urban communities fully participate in all aspects of community life. The Minnesota Digital Justice Coalition addresses the need for historically marginalized communities to build knowledge and power around digital communications and media, and then participate in current discussions around the need for universal broadband (Internet) access and education.
Main Street Project 2011 The Main Street Project works to help rural and urban residents of all ages, including immigrants , people of color, and those with no or low-income. Their three areas of focus are (1) providing training and ongoing support for aspiring Latino farmers and their families. (2) civic education and engagement opportunities, and (3) provide tools and advocacy to help build a healthy digital ecology.

Little Village Environmental Justice Organization 2010 Little Village Environmental Justice Organization (LVEJO) works with families, co-workers, and neighbors to improve life in Little Village, Chicago, the Midwest and nationally, through democracy in action. LVEJO works for a real voice in building democracy as the basis for environmental, economic and social justice. Democracy means giving time and space for every voice to be heard and counted in everyday matters, full, direct participation in decision-making that affects the lives of community members, and determining the future of our neighborhood and city. Rooted in community organizing, LVEJO’s campaigns focus on clean power, toxic clean-up, public transit, urban agriculture, immigrant justice and youth development.
La Asamblea de Derechos Civiles 2011 La Asamblea de Derechos Civlies is a statewide, faithbased organization which organizes immigrants from predominantly Latino congregations to build power to change the immigration system and the underlying political and economic structures behind it. They will expand their base and develop community leadership that will strategically carry out the work. They will host leadership development training's, public forums and know your rights workshops in preparation for the 2012 elections.
