Alicia R. Philips

As founder and President of Redwood Philanthropic Advisors, Alicia brings a wealth of experience and innovative thinking to Headwaters' Board of Directors. She is known as a visionary, social entrepreneur, and innovative leader. A frequent trainer on philanthropy, civic engagement, and leadership development, Alicia has established an effective national network of partners and collaborators in philanthropy, fundraising, and nonprofit management.

Most recently, Alicia was Vice President of the nationally recognized Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation. Previous to that she ran the successful firm, Idealogics, which provided development and communications counsel to nonprofit organizations.

Alicia is a member of National Center for Family Philanthropy, Philanthropic Advisors Network of the Council on Foundations, Chuck Green Fellowship for Civic Engagement Committee, Minneapolis Club, Twin Cities Financial and Estate Planning Councils, Citizens League, and Beth El Synagogue.
